   Units to find density? Don’t you mean units OF density?

   g/mL or g/cm^3

   There are several. SI standard is kg/m³
   older metric system is g/cm³
   US is lb/ft³ or lb/in³

   But these are not used to find the density, they are the units OF density.

   Solid = kg/m^3, or g/cc.
   Liquid, = litres/m^3, or g/ml.

   Density is unit mass over unit volume.

   Common density units are g/cm^3, g/mL, and kg/m^3.

   Density is defined the amount of mass per volume of a solid or a liquid.
   Its units will depend on the system of measurement you want to express such a parameter.
   I learned three at school, they are MKS, mgs and British one.

   If in MKS,
   Kilograms / cubic-meter
   or Kg / m^3

   If in mgs,
   grams / cubic-centimeter
   or gr / cm^3

   If in British system,
   MASS MIGHT BE IN:
   ounce, pound, slug, ton

   VOLUME MIGHT BE IN:
   pint, quart, gallon
   cubic foot, cubic yard

   Density of any substance = mass / volume .

   The units used to find density of a substance are the unit of mass and unit of volume.

   The unit of mass is the base unit of mass.

   The unit of volume is (unit of length)^3.

   Hence the units used to find density of a substance are the unit of mass and unit of length.
