How many units were both started and completed during the period?

A plant that uses process costing has 8000 units in beginning work in process, 15000 more started, and 5000 units in the ending work in process

Finished Goods Computation:
Work in Process, beginning 8000 units
Started in Process this month 15000 units
Total Work in process 23000 units
Less: Work in process, ending 5000 units
Finished and Transferred 18000 units

Units Started and Transferred:
Finished and Transferred 18000 units
Less: Work in Process, beginning 8000 units
Units Started and Transferred 10000 units

Therefore, the answer is 10000 units.
