Some companies use free products to have access to more audiance of more readers thus they can make money from advertising other products to a wider spectrum and charge for the advertising services.

Advertisements, yes. In some occasions they will give you free stuff because they want to encourage people to actually purchase something in the future if they liked the product. In the case of companies like Facebook and Google, most revenue is from advertisements.

Easter is a lunar festival, originally for the Anglo-Saxon pagan goddess Ēostre to celebrate new life and the coming of Spring. Easter eggs, baked goods (although there is some argument about whether the crosses are for the four quarters of the year or for the Christian cross and came later) and easter bunnies come from these pagan traditions (hares and eggs because of the link to fertility, baked goods because of the party). Easter was christianised but the old traditions remained because the church tolerated them because they made people happy.

I agree it’s got far too commercial. The egg represents new life – the ressurection. It also represents the stone rolled away by Jesus’ tomb. The hot crossed bun symbolises the crusifixion although it is thought the crosses were originally introduced by the Saxons to represent the four quarters the moon- after the goddess Eostre; where it’s believed the word Easter derives. As for the origination of the easter bunny there are conflicting arguments- the hare was featured in a lot of medieval churches and were associated with virgin Mary with links of reproduction without inter course. Some believe the three hares is a masonic symbol and the exchanging the eggs under the pretence of the Easter bunny represents the masons charitable nature and also being under disguise.

easter eggs come in because an egg represents life , so an egg represent the resurection of jesus christ.
i dont know why the easter bunny has anything to do with it
and hot cros buns have icing on top in the shape of a cross (what jesus christ died on)

I completely see what you mean. Though not everyone is religious. Haven't you heard of the story of the Easter bunny who leaves the eggs. It similar to christmas it is supposed to be about the birth of Jesus Christ. Yet, most think of Santa reindeer and gift giving. Maybe, it's meant to be a mystery not completely sure. I've wondered this before, never found an answer though.
